Round 6 of 8 of the Southeast Hare and Hounds championship took place down in the woods at Woodberry lane Rowlands Castle at the weekend. Recent rain served to settle the dust and make it a bit slippery under the trees for the first few laps but with three hours and a lap of approx 18 mins it soon dried out. A mix of woodland interspersed with some man made features kept the riders on their toes and the spectators amused. Felix Warren headed up the MOTO-WARD results with a 2nd place in the expert class and a total of 12 laps completed but even Felix fell foul of the rotating tyre ring that caught out numerous riders.

Ooooh a penny ! Felix over the bars

Matt Ward was going well until an off piste excursion when passing another rider resulted in him hitting a stump and flying through the air minus bike. He recovered to finish on 11 laps and 5th place in the experts.

Adam Brady on the YZ125 also completed 11 laps and also came second in the class. Adam just nissed out on doing an extra lap by 18 seconds after 3 hours of riding. In a class dominated by KTM the top two being GAS GAS and Yamaha shows there is a viable choice !

In the Vets B class a rare outing by Andy Marlor aka northern Andy saw him compete 10 laps on his recently refurbished YZ125 as he too had a couple of excursons into the bushes during the day.

With two rounds to go MOTOWARD still heads up the Expert class with Felix Warren, Clubman A with Adam Brady and Clubman B with Ben Harding.
